Early Life and Education
When Neha used to go to school at a young age, her father used to sell samosas. That’s why children used to tease him in his school.
Neha did not have a house in her birthplace Rishikesh, she used to live in a rented room. Neha’s father’s income was so minimal that it was difficult to even meet the household expenses.
Neha’s elder sister Sonu started singing at a very young age. She started singing in Jagrata (religious events) in Rishikesh, which helped her father meet her household expenses.
Seeing her sister, Neha started singing songs. Her voice has been very melodious since childhood. Neha’s sister used to sing in Jagrata and Tony and Neha also started going with her.
But when Neha was only four to five years old, she participated in a singing competition and she was the youngest singer in that competition.
She also won that competition. The same Sonu had become very famous in Rishikesh and she was called for Jagrata outside Rishikesh as well.
One day Sonu said to her father that they should shift to Delhi. There is not as much scope in Rishikesh as it is in Delhi. After listening to Sonu, her father did not think even once and agreed to shift to Delhi.
Then Neha, Sony, Tony and her parents all shifted to Delhi. Sonu and Tony started going to Jagrata (religious events) in Delhi too.
Neha’s father had an old scooter on which all three of them used to go to Jagratas. Neha tells that our father has worked very hard to reach here. But Sonu didi had started supporting us and our family a lot since childhood.
Neha did not take any singing classes, she learned all singing from her sister only. She has been Neha’s inspiration also. After reaching Delhi, both Sonu and Neha started singing.
Moving to Delhi, her economic condition improved and Neha’s father’s business of selling samosas gradually stopped. After going to Delhi, those people became completely dependent on Jagrata (religious events) only.

Neha did her schooling at New Holy Public School in Delhi. The group of Neha and Sonu had become very famous. Lakhs of people started recognizing them in Delhi.
Sonu and Neha used to sing songs and Tony was in back support. she was selected to sing a song in Bollywood in the year 2003.
Sonu sang that song, its name was Babuji Dheere Chalo and this song was a big hit. Neha also went ahead of Jagrata (religious events) and auditioned for Indian Idol season 2.
This thing is from the year 2006 when she was a student in class 11th. Neha got selected for Indian Idol. She was selected for Indian Idol, and at the same time his 11th class exams were going on.
But Neha could not think of anything other than singing. She was confident that she would win the season. That’s why she decided to go to Indian Idol without giving the 11th exam.
But in Indian Idol, she got eliminated before the 8th round. After this Neha’s heart broke and she remained depressed for a long time.
