Early Life
Girjesh wanted to become an actor since childhood. He did not have much interest in the study, so he left his studies after 10th and joined the acting class for some time. He told the family that I want to go to Mumbai.
But due to no identity in Mumbai, the family members refused. But Girjesh wanted to fulfill his dreams, so to go to Mumbai, he lied to the family members that he had got a job as a security guard in Mumbai. After this, Girjesh’s family got ready.
By selling 1 sack of wheat from home, he collected money for the ticket and he left for Mumbai in 2017. Girjesh tells that when he got down from the train at Mumbai station, the high society there was surprised. He wondered whether his decision to come to Mumbai was right.
He spent two nights at the station, after which he explained to himself that after coming here, he would not go back. After that, he started a job in PVR Cinema, but he left that job in a few days and did not even take the salary.
Girjesh asked for some money from his elder brother, but he was feeling very embarrassed. Then he decided that now he will not take a single rupee from the house and will bear his own expenses. Girjesh auditioned at several production houses in Mumbai’s Bandra, Goregaon, and Andheri.
But it is said that everything has a time and no one gets anything before that time. Girjesh also had to face rejections many times but he did not lose courage and confidence. One day Girjesh saw a living statue in a foreign country.
Due to which he was very inspired and he decided that I will also become a statue and will also keep giving auditions together, which will also earn a little money.
After this, he painted a shirt golden. When his friends asked why he spoiled the shirt, Girjesh told him that he would become a statue. His friends made fun of him a lot and even said now you will beg.
Girjesh gave the answer, it is not begging, it is an art and it is better to become a small owner than to be someone’s servant. Even though I will keep a donation box in front of me, I will not force anyone to donate.

On 8 October 2018, Girjesh stood as a statue at the Gateway of India and a large crowd started gathering near him. Seeing this, Girjesh started feeling very motivated, but seeing such a crowd, the police came there and took Girjesh away.
Girjesh had collected ₹800 in just one and a half hours, which he did not count himself, but counted from his friends. Girjesh says that after that he started standing in Azad Maidan. Where people were attracted to them, shaking hands and taking selfies together.
Girjesh says that the initial days were quite challenging for him. It is not easy to stand like a statue in one position for 4 hours. Sometimes the hands also started trembling and on the other hand people’s taunts.
Many people also used to appreciate it but negative people were also not less. But Girjesh explained to himself that whatever he is doing, he is doing it right. Instead of paying much attention to the wrong comments, he paid attention to those who appreciated and encouraged his talent.
After that Girjesh started standing like a statue on the bandstand where he stands from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. He keeps on going for auditions for ads, series, and serial.
Girjesh says that I agree that I do not earn much by becoming a statue, but seeing the smile on the face of people gives me great pleasure.
